Privacy Policy
for Handel POS

Last updated: March 2026 Handel — Point of Sale & Billing

Handel is a point-of-sale (POS) and billing application built for retail stores, restaurants, and small businesses. It helps you manage products, categories, orders, billing, and basic sales reporting — all from one app.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Handel mobile application. By using Handel, you agree to the practices described here. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, and your rights as a user.

Handel collects only the information you directly enter into the app. We collect nothing automatically or in the background.

Store information (entered in Settings):

  • Store name
  • Store address
  • Phone numberOptional
  • Email address Optional

Business data (entered during daily use):

  • Product names, prices, and categories
  • Order and billing records
  • Sales and transaction history (used for reports)
  • Category and menu configurations

We do not collect personal customer data, payment card details, government IDs, or any other sensitive personal information.

All data you enter into Handel is used solely to operate the app's features for your business:

  • Store information populates your receipts, bills, and printed documents
  • Product and category data powers the billing dashboard and product selection
  • Order records are used to settle bills and manage your workflow
  • Transaction history drives the sales trends and reporting features

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app on your behalf.

Handel is designed with a local-first approach. By default, all your data — store settings, products, orders, and billing records — is stored directly on your device and never leaves it.

Optional Cloud Sync:

Handel offers an optional manual sync feature powered by Google Firebase. If you choose to use it, your app data may be uploaded to Firebase's secure cloud servers to enable backup or multi-device access. This sync is:

  • Entirely optional — the app works fully without it
  • Manually triggered — data is only synced when you choose to initiate it
  • Secured by Firebase's industry-standard encryption and authentication

No data is automatically sent to any server. Cloud sync only happens when you manually choose to sync.

Firebase is a service by Google LLC, governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it at firebase.google.com.

No. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.

  • No advertising networks receive your data
  • No analytics companies track your usage
  • No third parties have access to your billing or order records
  • Firebase (if you use manual sync) stores data per Google's own privacy policy, not ours

Your business data belongs to you. We have no interest in it beyond making the app work for you.

When you generate or print a bill or receipt, the document is created entirely on your device. Your store information (as entered in Settings) is included on the receipt automatically.

  • Bills and receipts are generated locally — no server is involved
  • We do not store, log, or transmit copies of generated receipts
  • Printed or exported documents are your responsibility once they leave the app

Yes — you have full control over everything in Handel at all times.

  • Edit or update your store information anytime via Settings
  • Add, modify, or delete products and categories at any time
  • View and manage all your orders and billing records
  • Choose whether or not to use the optional Firebase manual sync
  • Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device

If you have used manual sync and wish to request deletion of data from Firebase, please contact us and we will assist you promptly.

Handel is a business application intended for use by adults and business owners. It is not directed at or designed for children under the age of 18.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app's features or applicable laws. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Handel after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. Significant changes will be communicated through an in-app notice.

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or how Handel handles your data, please reach out — we're happy to help.
